More Lawlessness from Justice, Holder

More Lawlessness from Justice, Holder

Only this week the Supreme Court upheld a voter ID law in Indiana, but the Voting Rights Act gives the Justice Department special oversight regarding some of the states of the Confederacy. Thus Attorney General Holder believes that it is within his power to ignore that the SCOTUS decision in the case applies to South Carolina, where he has today stopped enforcement of South Carolina's law requiring a state-issued ID for voters.

This represents anarchy, if not tyranny. The Obama administration seems bound and determined to seize power over as many functions of government as they can. The Supreme Court says (6-3!) that the interest of government in fair elections overrides the mere suspicion of unfairness to minorities, since proof of race based outcome cannot be produced. Holder and Obama do not need no stinking proof - they assert their power merely because they can.

Beck Tears Blumenthal Up

Beck Tears Blumenthal Up

Glenn Beck somehow got the Connecticut Attorney General Blumenthal on his program, and it is clear that this AG is a lawless hood. He can't answer Beck's question about what law the AIG bonus recipients broke, or indeed what law enables the state to go after them. He mutters that the bonuses "do not serve the public interest" as if that has any bearing on the question. This is another example of the lawless way prosecutors abuse their power, and then can be quite arrogant about it. We are a nation of laws, not men, and without respect for that doctrine we have Anarchy, or Oligarchy.

Understanding Americanism

Understanding Americanism

A video that purports to be informative, but ends up being disturbing, describes the system of government we have, and the pitfalls we are facing. Nothing more I can say, other than to recommend that you watch it.

The video quotes Benjamin Franklin at the very end: "we can keep our republic, or we we will inevitably end up with an oligarchy, a tyranny of the elite".
